Roberto Cassani - CANCELLED
Cancelled, obviously. Covid.
The events listed here are only for my headline shows.
HOWEVER, I am also constantly out there playing double bass with other bands and artists, in every conceivable musical genre from jazz to folk to “whatever”...
HENCE, you are rather likely to come across me in situations where I don’t get a microphone... and what a pleasant surprise that will be for you!...Please, do come and say "ciao"...I look forward to it.
DO go out to support live music, otherwise we may end up with a very sad society, and a lot of excellent starving musicians.
Needless to say, all shows for 2020 are cancelled in every shape or form. There is no live music in the U.K. this year and next year is starting to look pretty dodgy too...Travelling to other countries to play music is also out if the question. Hence, all is left to do, is to keep the chin up and work together for a healthy reprise of live concerts sometime in 2021. I’ll be there!
Cancelled, obviously. Covid.
CANCELLED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS What has now become a much looked forward yearly extravaganza of playing my songs, hosting and introducing brilliant acts at the Saturday afternoon acoustic stage of this Fantastic little-big festival in the Scottish Highlands.

The legendary Poozies have helped revolutionise folk music. They’ve been around the world aplenty and now they are back. I’m very honoured to be stepping out to open for them, and have a lovely practice run of some new songs ahead of the imminent new album.
I’m back to Bella again for the 10th time probably... A special one for sure. I’ve seen this festival growing from big to gigantic and yet preserve its wonderful atmosphere. It’s a party! Sold out unfortunately but if you have tickets, keep an eye on my pages for day, times and location of my performance/s...
I'll play a few gigs here as well as my Official Showcase at the Festival, so I'll add more details nearer the time.
As the musical artist in residence for the Edinburgh Multilingual Stories Festival, I get to do a final show playing, talking and singing about my experience of bilingualism and why it matters to me. This is a one-off show not to be missed (I think), because it’s in-progress-NEW and flying-by-the-seat-of-my-pants-FRESH. Plus the wonderful Edinburgh guitar god Jon Mackenzie will be accompanying me with his classy playing and rocking good looks. C’mon click on that ticket link my friend...
For the next few weeks I will be the musical artist for the Edinburgh Multilingual Stories Festival. My work will consist of workshops in various locations and with various local groups of all ages. There will then be a final concert at the Assembly Roxy on the first weekend in December, I’ll post a precise date and time soon. The Festival is the brain child of Theatre Sans Accents and ‘Bilingualism Matters’ at the University of Edinburgh. Bilingualism and multiculturalism are concepts I’m really passionate about: they enrich a person, families, communities and whole Nations. Scotland embraces diversity and does not shy away from the merging of cultures, because it understands it can only bring benefit and tolerance. This festival is hopefully the beginning of great things to come.
